Members and the public catalogue · 025.5
Patron records, categories and scannable cards for staff. A public catalogue and account pages for readers that work on a phone, in English or Hindi, in light or dark.

What is in it
Patron records
Categories, custom attributes, import, and a flatter record than Koha's 90-column table. Staff roles live on the same account by design.
A card that scans
Each member card carries a Code 128 barcode and a QR code, printable or on the phone.
A catalogue worth browsing
Search, browse and book pages with availability and holds. Clean enough to be the library's front door.
An account that makes sense
Loans, holds, fines and the card, with renewals and payments where policy allows.
Events and rooms
Publish events with registration and waitlists; let members book rooms with hours, capacity and no-show handling.
Privacy by design
A reading-history policy per member, scheduled anonymisation, and member self-service erase.
01
The public front door
A catalogue that opens in English or Hindi, in light or dark, with search first and browsing second.

02
Search, then the book
Facets, availability at a glance and a book page with a point of view. Place a hold in two taps.

03
The member account
Everything a reader needs: what they have, what is waiting, what they owe and the card in their pocket.

04
More than books
Events with registration and waitlists, and rooms and equipment members can book themselves.

05
Staff side of the member
A member record with loans, fines and messages in one view, and a printable card.

Questions
Is the OPAC accessible?
It is built with WCAG in mind (contrast, keyboard use, focus states), but it has not had an independent accessibility audit. We would rather say that than claim a certificate we do not have.
Can members pay fines online?
Yes, through Razorpay (including UPI), with a sandbox for testing. Desk payments by cash, UPI and card are recorded too.
